Saurav Mallik (Robb)
Principal Investigator
Robb started the lab on 1st October, 2025, as the principal investigator. Born and raised in India, he initially studied physics before transitioning to molecular biology. He did his PhD at the University of Calcutta and postdoctoral research at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Always humorous, Robb enjoys hitting the gym after a long day and loves to cook, eat good food, and drink cocktails.
Shahar Hammer
Doctoral Student
Shahar joined the lab on 1st November 2025 as a PhD student. Born and raised in Tel Mond, Israel, he completed his Master’s degree at Bar-Ilan University under the supervision of Professor Yaron Shav-Tal. He is an animal lover, a raver and festival enthusiast, a hiking lover, and can always be won over with a good pizza.
Tamar Hakim
Doctoral Student
Tamar joined the lab in March 2026. She completed her Master's at the Gray Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, under the supervision of Prof. Gil Ast. She is curious about everything related to biology and always excited to learn new things. Outside the lab, she enjoy sports, traveling, music, and attending live concerts.
